One Degree is a hypothetical social impact publication that reframes the climate crisis through a human lens.

Rather than presenting climate change as distant data or abstract science, the publication examines the tangible consequences of rising global temperatures—worsening natural disasters, shifting risk and collective responsibility. It pairs research driven content with solution-based resources, aiming not to only inform,  but to mobilize.

The publication title, One Degree, comes from the harsh reality that for every 1 degree increase in global temperature comes intensified weather events, accelerated biodiversity loss, and many other irreversible effects.

CENTERED BY URGENCY

The brand language and typographic system reflects the growing instability of the climate crisis.

Condensed, forceful letterforms create tension on the page, while shifts in scale, interruption, and directional breaks echo the fragmentation of natural disasters. Headlines feel urgent and slightly unsettled—never chaotic, but intentionally off balance. The result mirrors the subject matter.
